It is nice to be able to redecorate a home but redecorating a home can be so expensive. These days who really has the money to be able to redecorate besides the rich and the famous? What about the normal, everyday working person who just wants a change but does not have thousands of dollars to do so? Instead of thinking that you need to redo the whole room think smaller, think rugs.

You could try painting a room to make a difference, but paint is a heavy and permanent endeavor. When you paint you have to tape up the walls, then you have to apply a primer, and then you have to paint and pray that the paint goes where you want it to go. Sure a can of paint, tape, and primer only costs about $30.00 but the work involved is substantial. It would be better to hire someone to make sure that paint does not end up on the floor or ceiling but that would raise the price well above your price range.

So back to the idea of area rugs. Area rugs can provide a complete change in your room. Rugs can make a room look new again. I know it is sometimes a difficult thing to ponder through but rugs do not have to be expensive. You can find fairly cheap rugs if you really search around. Not only will you find cheap rugs, but you can find rugs that are a good price and good quality too.

Discount area rugs really are a good choice. For less than what it would cost you to hire someone to paint a room, you can decorate two rooms with nice, quality rugs. Then, if it doesn’t work out for you, or you decide in a year or two you want to change your look, then you simply replace them. At these prices you can buy something new every year.

Have you ever walked into a designer house and seen the beautiful designer area rugs on the floor? One of the prettiest sites in a home is a contemporary living room or dining room with a gorgeous rug to complete the look. I have often wondered how much something like this might cost. It just so turn out that my new house has hardwood floors and although they are easy to clean, they are really boring to look at. I decided that I needed some color in my living room. I did not want to paint the walls because I am renting this place but I do need something. The bedrooms are small and get covered by bedroom furniture,  but the living room and dining room need area rugs to come alive.

In order to really make this work with my budget I needed to find a place that sold discount rugs. By discount I didn’t want cheap in quality, but I really did need to keep the price down. I still believe in the idea that there are places you can find discounted prices without losing quality. This goes for rugs as well as anything else. So, I started my search. Keep in mind I really have not had a lot of luck with anything lately, much less shopping for deals. I had a budget of about $300.00 for two small 6×8 rugs. I searched and searched and finally came across something I really want to share. I found this site called Area Rugs Now and believe it or not the rugs were not cheesy and they were within my price range, well within my price range. When I say cheesy I mean that most of the discounted rugs I looked at were not any different then what I might find at the local store or on any other website. Here, I found something different. I found two unique rugs that matched in color and style, but were still a little bit different and added the right amount of style for me. Even better I only spent $200.00. This was such a huge relief for me after moving and trying to settle in. I felt like I could breathe and experience this new house as being mine.
