Eminem’s ”Recovery” will likely relinquish the No. 1 position (darn) on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week — after a total of seven weeks at the top of the list – to Katy Perry’s new “Teenage Dream.” Will we all say darn in two weeks?Released Tuesday (Aug. 24), industry experts think that Perry’s set will likely sell in the range of 170,000 to 200,000 by the end of the week.
Perry’s last album, 2008′s “One of the Boys,” debuted and peaked at No. 9 in July of that year with 47,000 sold in its premiere week according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its best sales frame came over Christmas week of 2008 when it shifted 63,000 — but at a lower rung on the tally. Uhm. Ok
